Work Package

To achieve the ERA-Chemistry goals, all objectives of the network are divided into five work packages and will be managed by individual partners of the consortium.

WP1. Determination of status quo of European research funding related to chemistry (FWF)

All the required information, summing up the status quo of the research funding in basic, applied and transdisciplinary chemistry in all the participating partner organisations are collected and processed. The outcome of this work is a great chance to get a wide overview and a basis for many future improvements that are much more far-reaching than ERA-Chemistry.

WP2. Development of new instruments for transnational initiatives (NWO)

This work package aims at developing and implementing (and optimising) new processing, review and funding instruments for transnational proposals in chemical research in all degrees of complexity.

WP3. Chemistry-related common strategic and prospective activities(ICHO PAN)

The primary objective of the original WP3 has been achieved, leading to announcement of the first ERA-Chemistry transnational call for proposals. The present WP3 mainly focuses on all essential strategic activities related to ERA-Chemistry research conferences.

WP4. Realisation of calls for proposals and ERA-Chemistry research conferences (CNRS)
This work package consists of processing all tasks decicated to calls for proposals and of ERA-Chemistry Research Conferences.

WP5. Project administration and coordination (DFG)

The work leader - and coordinator of ERA-Chemistry is responsible for the general administration and coordination. To enable effective processing of proposals and European programmes, joint electronic communication tools and portals are developed. On this website, all the information on the previous work packages, calls for proposals and the appropriate links can be found. Moreover, the ERA-Chemistry network and philosophy will be advertised in distinct journals and during conferences.
